Top 10 Most Intimidating Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles in the World

8. RS-28 Sarmat (Satan II)

Known by NATO as "Satan II," the RS-28 Sarmat is Russia's most advanced ICBM weapon. Designed to replace the aged R-36M, this liquid-fueled missile had hitherto unheard-of capacity. Reportedly with a range of 18,000 kilometres, it can carry up to 15 MIRV warheads and can travel both polar paths, therefore avoiding current missile defence systems. The Sarmat's sophisticated countermeasures and hypersonic glide vehicles make intercept very difficult; its short boost phase lowers vulnerability during launch.
