Concerned neighbors came together in a touching show of community spirit to rescue a big dog callously abandoned by his previous family. The scene was heartbreaking: a large, disoriented dog rushed wildly through traffic, repeatedly just missing death as automobiles swirled around him. His look was so messy that he seemed more like a movable, dusty carpet. Though the rescue effort was difficult, the tenacious neighbors would not give up until Benji was safely locked. Following a complete grooming procedure, the metamorphosis was rather amazing: under all that matted fur lied a beautiful, loving giant with soulful eyes and contagious love of life. Once afraid, the street dog now exudes confidence and happiness, excited about his opportunity to make a loving foster family happy. His beautiful spirit will be much appreciated.
